Dr. Sanjiv Dhingra is the 2019 recipient of the Ronald Duhamel Innovation Fund Award.

A Principal Investigator with the Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences at the Albrechtsen Research Centre, Dr. Dhingra leads a team focusing on cardiac regeneration and tissue engineering.

Dr. Dhingra received the award at the St. Boniface Hospital Foundation’s annual Donor Appreciation Breakfast on Saturday, April 13.

“When the science gets recognized, that’s more motivation to work even harder,” said Dr. Dhingra.

The late Ronald J. Duhamel (1938-2002) was a long-serving Senator and Member of Parliament for Winnipeg/St. Boniface. Established in 2004 by his family and friends, the Ronald Duhamel Innovation Fund Award promotes innovation and leadership in advancing health care at St. Boniface Hospital.
