I credit you with saving my Diane’s life. You may not remember her; an elderly patient during a COVID isolation event, but she certainly remembers you; the ‘never giving up’ nurse who monitored her stats, responded continually (drink this, it taste horrible but your potassium’s down, drink”) and kept her spirits for your entire over-night shift. Words cannot express my gratitude. Diane and I love each other at the gaga level, and you have added years to our life together. A simple heartfelt ‘Thank you’ would suffice if it could echo forever. From the root of my soul, I express my feelings, “Thank you, Mikayla. Know that you make a difference”.
